- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical front desk or patient services role is preferred.
- Proficient in using healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Be comfortable working with adult patients
- Have a proven track record of excellent customer service and retention in former positions

Description
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Services Specialist to join our team.
The primary responsibilities of this role include managing the front desk operations in a medical setting, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient check-in process, and handling referrals processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Operations:
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate department.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Check patients into their appointments and verify patient demographics.
Referrals Processing:
Check incoming faxed referrals and process them in a timely manner
Verify insurance coverage through online insurance portals.
Ensure prior authorizations are complete and accurate before appointments.
Administrative Support:
Maintain patient records and update them as necessary.
Assist with billing and insurance verification when required.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
