    Prepared On: 03/06/2024Role: Plans directs, organizes and controls the operational activity of a Credit Union facility, ensuring the branch meets strategic, financial, operational, service and growth plans

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Maintains a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintaining effective employee relations. Participates in the interviewing and selection of qualified applicants for vacancies, ensuring that the credit union is adequately staffed with competent employees. Conducts timely performance appraisals and approves appraisals completed by direct reports. Makes recommendation for appropriate personnel actions including corrective action or discipline.
    Responsible for driving branch performance results through direction, leadership and execution of superior sales and service behaviors. Monitors key products/sales within the branch to ensure growth and sound business practices for the credit union.

    Maintains a high level of quality service for members and ensures that employees are utilizing opportunities to educate member on products and services.

    Compiles and analyzes branch operation reports for Senior Leadership.
    Responsible for building the credit union's presence in the community. Also responsible for developing new members, while maintaining and expanding existing member relationships. Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with area businesses, suppliers, other financial institutions, and similar groups.
    Ensures the application of and compliance to all credit union membership and operating policies and procedures. Makes recommendations concerning new policies and procedures. Ensures branch is in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Audits/monthly tests are conducted.

    Prepares, implements and supervises the budget for the branch that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.

    Manages the security and safety of the branch, with responsibility to analyze security, safety policies, safety procedures and to alert staff of any changes.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Performance Measurements:1.To provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and staff.2.To maintain a cohesive, highly trained and motivated staff, sufficient to meet needs of members in coordination with operating budget.3.Ensure that the staff is providing friendly, professional and personal service to all members. To promote a sales and service culture within the branch by example. Mentor and develop employees to identify member cross sales opportunities.4.To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in timely, friendly and accurate manner.5.To meet or exceed the membership, lending, product and service goals on a monthly basis.6.To complete performance reviews within the prescribed time frame.7.To develop and maintain business partner relationships within the community and area schools by calling on potential SEG's and coordinating branch participation in community activities.

    Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceThree years to five years of similar or related experience.

    Education(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

    Interpersonal SkillsWork involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.

    Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
