- Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program, with successful completion of a one (1) year doctoral internship, preferably from an APA-approved internship program; or Master's degree (MA/MS or MSW) from an accredited program, plus five (5) years of professional experience, preferably with progressive responsibilities accrued during that five year period
- Must be certified or licensed, or immediately license eligible, in the State of Indiana
- Three (3) years of experience as a generalist therapist
- Doctoral psychology internship may be considered in lieu of one year of experience
- Experience in outreach and consultation
- Experience managing others
- Five (5) years of progressive experience as a generalist therapist
- Clinical experience in a university counseling center with young adults
- Experience in all facets of work as a counseling center mental health professional
- Experience leading a group
- Demonstrated strong general therapy skills with clear interest and experience in the college population, as well as experience and skill in a variety of clinical service modalities
- Demonstrated interest and experience in issues of diversity, social justice and advocacy
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, ethical, legal and professional standards of practice
- Independent judgement and discretion
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function well as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide positive leadership and administrative leadership
- Ability to relate well to students, staff colleagues in other departments, faculty, and other members of the University community
- Ability to effectively coach and lead a group of psychological service providers

Job SummaryThe Associate Director of Operations and Clinical Training Director, as a strong generalist therapist, responsible for providing vision and leadership for the Clinical Training Program. Responsible to provide vision for, ongoing administration of, and leadership in the area of Training, which includes CAPS' APA-approved doctoral internship, the practicum program, and the Psychology Resident. Works in conjunction with the Director to facilitate data collection and reporting, creating the departmental budget, workforce and other future planning needs, related to Clinical Services Training. Works with Director and CAPS' leadership team to conduct staff performance reviews and coordinate services provided out of all of CAPS' areas of functioning. Provides a variety of modalities of clinical services; participates in supervision of therapists in training; develops, provides and evaluates outreach programming and consultation for the campus community; and assists as needed in other administrative activities.
