    Job Title: Nurse

    About the Role:

    This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Luminis Health. As a member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients by delivering direct and indirect patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clinical Decision Making/Judgment: Utilize clinical nursing knowledge and skill in the specialization of the unit, apply the nursing process effectively in caring for culturally diverse patients and families, and consistently assess patients to collect data and identify learning needs.
    • Nurse-Patient Family Relationships: Assess patients' learning needs, develop teaching plans, and provide direct patient care in a culturally appropriate manner.
    • Clinical Scholarship: Participate in quality improvement activities, support evidence-based guidelines, and promote safe patient care and practice environment.
    • Clinical Leadership: Participate in unit shared governance, educate new staff, delegate patient care activities, and employ real-time computer documentation.

    Unit Specific Responsibilities:

    • Provide nursing care to adult medical patients, utilize telemetry as an assessment tool, and manage patients during dysrhythmic episodes.
    • Identify and treat common nursing diagnoses in the medical population, such as activity intolerance, impaired adjustment, and pain.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
    • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider certification (BLS).
