    Description
    The Janitor/Dishwasher assists in the daily operations of the kitchen and dining spaces, including cleaning, sanitizing, collecting dishes from the dining area, loading, and operating the dishwasher, daily cleaning of dining rooms, floors, bathrooms, and perimeter of building. Essential Functions:
    • Adherence to FISH/Open Table policies and procedures.
    • Supportive collaboration with clients, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
    • Maintenance of cleanliness in dining rooms, floors, bathrooms, and building perimeter.
    • Proper operation of dishwasher, washing, and drying of dishes and utensils.
    • Garbage and recycling removal and area maintenance.
    • Daily cleaning duties and scheduled deep cleaning.
    • Ensuring sanitation and cleanliness standards are met.
    • Reporting maintenance issues to management.
    • Support in various areas of food service operations.
    • Assistance with packing Meals-on-Wheels.
    • Attendance of Open Table staff meetings.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Experience working in a busy kitchen and promoting teamwork.
    • Hold a valid Food Handlers' card or be prepared to obtain one within 14 days of hire.
    • Sound knowledge of food safety standards.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Safe use of kitchen equipment and appliances.
    • Capability to lift 40 pounds.

    Provide 550 families with diapers, formula, and other baby essentials from the Diaper Bank.
    Provide Christmas gifts for 832 children and seniors.
    Serve 50,620 meals to Kittitas County seniors through our Senior Nutrition and Meals on Wheels programs.
    Reopen Community Lunch service to anyone in need of a meal.
    Help provide 5,000 weekend meals to children at risk of hunger on weekends.
    Provide 11,743 meals county-wide to children during the summer break from school.
    Provide education on the benefits of good nutrition and healthy eating to children and adults.
    Educate people about Basic Food (SNAP) benefits and register many of them for services
