JOB SUMMARY

Join our Food & Beverage team in the beautiful Nantahala Gorge NOC is hiring Restaurant Prep Cooks for our River's End Restaurant. All Cook applicants must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen
Maintain food quality and consistency
Function as a team player, take direction and work efficiently toward set goals
Support teammates and assist other members of the Food and Beverage team as needed
Perform kitchen duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

Strong understanding of safe food handling, health code standards, and restaurant cleanliness
Ability to function as a team player, take direction, and work independently
Thorough understanding of the flow of restaurant operations
Dress appropriately for back of house and NOC standards
Uphold and follow standards, policies, and procedures
Must be able to take direction and take initiative

Preferred:

Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required
ServSafe certification preferred but not required

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Applicants must be comfortable working on their feet for long periods of time
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
