Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Manager to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support project execution from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard software tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Civil 3D. This position is integral to coordinating various aspects of construction projects and assisting the Construction Manager in delivering successful outcomes.

Duties

Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
Support project coordination by liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate execution of projects.
Contribute to cost estimation efforts utilizing construction estimating tools like HeavyBid and HeavyBid.
Monitor construction activities on-site for compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
Assist in tracking project progress, updating schedules, and preparing reports for stakeholders.
Support contract administration by reviewing contracts, change orders, and scope documents.
Collaborate on project management tasks including resource allocation, risk management, and documentation control.
Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for daily reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
Participate in project meetings to coordinate activities across teams and ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in managing design and/or construction for major infrastructure capital projects and three (3) years' experience in design projects of similar nature.
Proficiency with industry-standard software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
Solid knowledge of project scheduling, project management principles, and construction coordination practices.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Experience with contracts administration and understanding of construction contracts.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
Relevant educational background in civil engineering, construction management or related fields is preferred.
