  • Responsibilities. Responsible for the maintenance, support, engineering, and enhancement of the Release Patch Distribution System (RPDS). Participate in Proof-of-Concept for new technologies and in disaster recovery exercises, while supporting multiple IT projects, upgrades, and initiatives, including the installation and maintenance of Program Product installations. Work with a Senior Principal Architect to ensure operations are consistent across multiple business units and track installations and modifications. Participate in strategic planning and consulting on platform selection, version implementation, software product recommendation, and usage of enhanced functionality. Provide consulting expertise in identifying and solving highly critical FTP or Money Movement issues. Influence and govern current and future architectural blueprints and promote architectural initiatives that generate revenue, improve efficiency, and support our business strategy. Collaborate with the SCMG and Changeman departments to ensure payroll changes and the codes have been fully tested in QA environments, before the RPDS process moves the code to Live Payroll systems. Act as SCRUM Master when needed and provide status reports and major project updates on a regular basis to management as part of AGILE process.

    TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, related Engineering disciplines, or related field of study and five (5) years of related experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and three (3) years of related experience.
  • Work Experience. Three (3) years of experience must include: TSO; JCL; REXX; ISPF; ISPF Dialogue; TCP/IP; VTAM; VSAM; IBM's Operating System Z/OS and all internals; CICS (Customer Information Control System); IBM Assembler Language; Unix System Services (Z/OS USS); Open source software including Kubernetes and Java; Agile methodology using JIRA; FTP; SSL/TLS.
