PLS CADD Engineer - California, United States - ENGINEERING PARTNERS, INC.

Engineering Partners (EPI) is a well-known engineering company in San Diego with utility, municipality, and government contracts focusing on electrical and power engineering. We are currently looking for a PLS CADD engineer that is a motivated self-starter to help build the civil engineering arm of the business. The engineer will have experience in PLS-CADD with an understanding of electric utility distribution construction and pole design.

The PLS CADD Engineer will be utilizing PLS CADD and PLS Pole to model remediation for identified issues during a drone inspection of client facilities. The successful candidate will use provided LiDAR, intrusive records, and drone-based photos to assist in the analysis and remediation. Each location will have different issues, so thinking critically is imperative for successful execution of this project.

Technical Competencies of a PLS CADD Engineer:

• Experience with PLS-CADD
• Understanding of electric utility pole design
• Familiarity with utility pole construction and equipment

Education and Experience of a PLS CADD Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Minimum 1-8 years of experience
• EIT preferred but not required
• PE preferred but not required
