Job DescriptionJob Summary
Kingdom Dwelling Christian Counseling is looking for a Texas LPC counselor for English and Spanish office sessions with some video. Our client base consists of children, adolescents, couples, and families, with some self-pay and most covered by commercial insurance, EAP, and Medicare.
The ideal candidate will supplement the full spectrum of licensed LPC techniques with Biblical references as desired by many of our clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with a willingness to coordinate with external agencies on behalf of your clients.
INCOME: Your pay is based on a percent of income generated from your sessions. Monthly pay will grow as session revenue grows – without cap. Our practice is designed to empower you to focus on counseling, with few other activities required. Almost all client scheduling and billing is handled by others.
SESSION-COUNT ANTICIPATIONS. The credentialing and contracting process takes weeks to months. This position is ideal for someone who can transition into our private practice as credentialing and contracting completes and clients become available. At hire time, we will initiate credentialing and contracting under our TIN. Session-count should grow from part-time sessions into full time over a few months. The client-base will grow based on referrals, acceptance into payer contracts, and marketing efforts. We market assertively.
Job Description
Evaluate client needs and create custom treatment plans. Work with clients to find and address unhealthy or ineffective life choices. Utilize licensed techniques and Biblical references to lead clients into healthy coping mechanisms related to the stressors and trauma in their lives. Help individuals with the resources needed to reach personal goals. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Maintain state and federally required certifications for the counseling position. Coordinate with other healthcare providers, agencies and community resources as needed to create a thorough treatment plan. Complete session Progress Notes daily to permit daily billing. Attend periodic staff meetings designed to grow the entire team and steer the overall counseling efforts.
Position Requirements
Many new clients are seeking in-office sessions for their children. Video is also utilized but office settings will be the bulk of your sessions.
Applicant must have an NPI and be fully licensed in Texas as an LPC. Do not apply if you cannot practice in Texas or if you cannot enter contracts with insurance payers.
English is required. Spanish is sought because many of our clients speak Spanish.
Applicant must have or pay your own malpractice insurance.
Applicant must be computer proficient with primary focus on web browser usage. Chromebook is not acceptable because we use a shared file system.
Knowledge of TherapyNotes web-based package is a plus but not required.
