    Title: Shipper & Receiver 3 - Onsite

    Description:

    Under general supervision, performs a variety of shipping/receiving tasks. Responsible for the retention and verification of all shipping records, checked against bills of lading, invoices and orders. Verifies that materials, equipment and tools received are as expected and ordered in both type and quantity. Keep tools/equipment warehouse organized. Organize incoming items to proper location. Prepares appropriate documentation for shipments of tools and equipment to job sites and/or for repair and calibration. Execute preventive maintenance and minor repairs on test equipment.

    Typical duties/responsibilities for field service may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Under general supervision, prepare documentation for shipment of test equipment, tools, and supplies and related items. Check items to be shipped against service orders and field engineers request, to ascertain that model, quantities, destination and routing are correct.

    Maintain files and records of shipping/receiving documents for domestic and international transactions.

    Verify that materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity. Route incoming service shipments to proper location in equipment warehouse.

    Perform basic visual and functional tests in tools and equipment, such tool boxes, slings, HV electrical test equipment, torque wrenches, tool sets, SF6 gas carts.

    Perform general maintenance on equipment with the listed responsibilities:

    Make minor repairs to equipment, including but not limited to SF6 gas analyzers (filter, battery replacements), SF6 gas carts (pumps, compressors, hoses), vacuum pumps

    Must be able to perform general preventative maintenance on field service equipment with direction from management and the possibility of working with the OEM.

    Communicate with local vendors for replacement parts/services

    Organize and maintain inventory and storage area

    Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting schedule and job commitments.

    Open investment and purchase requests for the acquisition of test equipment and tools, follow up purchase process until equipment is received.

    Support planning and scheduling activities, ensuring systems are constantly updated as to reflect location and status of equipment and tools

    Perform duties in a manner compliant with prevailing quality procedures and policies.

    Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

    Complexity of Tasks:

    Follow standard practices and procedures in resolving basic and complex problems. Decisions are usually based on established precedents and may affect quality and accuracy. Refer complex problems to supervisor.

    Must Requirements:

    3-5 years of related experience in shipping, receiving and logistics.

    Proven and demonstrated knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.

    Proven and demonstrated knowledge as user of an ERP and/or inventory management system. SAP preferable.

    Preferable knowledge of MV and HV field test equipment, such as timers, CT testers, power factor tester, high pot, multimeters, gas analyzers

    Preferable knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment, such as compressors, pumps, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems, pipefitting

    Physical ability to load / unload, pack / unpack equipment

    Education:

    High School degree plus 3-5 years of related experience in shipping, receiving and logistics.

    or

    Associate degree in an electrical or mechanical area
