    Meeting Street is currently looking for a Special Education Teacher for 40 hours per week.

    Duties:

    • Plans and implements motivating and creative age-appropriate activities to address goals as outlined in each students' IEP including vocational opportunities, community-based learning experiences, MA curriculum frameworks, and service learning projects.
    • Collaborates with other teachers and therapists to implement an integrated educational/therapeutic model.
    • Develops lesson plans, progress reports, and IEPs within specified timelines as directed.
    • When scheduled, performs MCAS alternate assessments.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Special Education.
    • Valid Certification from the MA Department of Education as a Special Education Teacher.
    • Valid Certification in Severe/Profound disabilities OR Mild/Moderate disabilities with willingness to pursue Severe/Profound disabilities certification (tuition reimbursement offered).
    • A minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience, with prior experience working with children. with and without disabilities in an inclusive environment preferred.
    • Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and MCAS alternate assessments.
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
