    Position Summary: A deli manager is responsible for monitoring the daily operations of the deli, delegating tasks to staff, supervising the food orders and services, maintaining adequate stock inventory, and finding ways to minimize production costs without compromising quality service.

    Qualifications:
    • High school graduate required. Post-secondary education preferred.
    • ServSave Certification required.
    • Must be able to run a cash registered and count back currency.
    • Exhibits maturity and confidence in communication skills via telephone or in person.
    • Dependable attendance is essential.
    • Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
    • Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Computer skills including the use of email and basic Excel spreadsheets is required.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Physical movements include sitting, reaching, bending, stooping and stretching.
    • Able to lift 30 pounds, without assistance.
    • Visual acuity is required to perform duties.
    • Possesses manual dexterity sufficient to operate machines and tools.

    Responsibilities:
    Prepare food and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
    Operate cash register for sales.
    Ordering food and supplies for deli.
    Ensure quality customer service at all times.
    Counts cash, balances register and turns in receipts and deposits to the business office on a daily basis.
    Act as an information officer for patients/visitors.
    Manages inventory in a financially responsible manner
    Monitor refrigerator temperatures.
    Oversees dating of all perishable inventories and assures that stock is rotated to minimize waste.
    Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with food service vendors in order to assure quality products are available to serve our customers.
