    Job Overview


    Responsible for maintaining production equipment, facilities, and grounds in accordance with local, state, federal and company laws and guidelines. May be asked to perform other tasks to fulfill company needs.

    A Day In The Life

    • Ensures operation of machinery & mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, & production machines.
    • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists & hand & power tools; examining equipment for root cause failure.
    • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, & other measuring instruments.
    • Adjusts functional parts of devices & control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, & straightedges.
    • Controls downtime by responding & ensuring that equipment is repaired as soon as possible.
    • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation & equipment; Mills, lathes & drill presses etc.
    • Maintains equipment, parts, & supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, & supplies.
    • Must have extensive knowledge of power systems up to 480V & associated ARC Flash requirements.

    What will help you thrive in this role?

    • High school diploma or equivalent required, some technical school education preferred.
    • Minimum of three-five years related experience.
    • Basic knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance related areas.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
    • Ability to communicate effectively at various levels in the company.
    • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, and will require long periods of standing, kneeling, crouching, and walking.
