    Part-time 9 hours/week, (3) 3-hour days per week from 11 am to 2 pm

    Located primarily at the Wilbraham Senior Center, but must be willing cover other sites in Hampden County including Springfield

    The position starts in June

    NOT Remote


    Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a Community Dining site(s), including ensuring that programmatic requirements are met and all safety procedures are followed

    • Follow, organize, and effectively implement all food handling procedures to ensure the meal is served promptly and within the appropriate health and safety guidelines.
    • Responsible for site set-up and cleanup related to meal service.
    • Professionally represent the agency in all dealings, including program attendees, site staff, volunteers, etc.
    • Complete all necessary paperwork, including recording temperatures, participant feedback, and reservations/rosters.
    • Count monetary donations and make bank deposits daily unless directed by GSSSI management.
    • Monitor and order necessary site supplies from the Community Dining Supervisor, & communicate any shortages or concerns promptly.
    • Attend monthly Site Manager meetings and all mandatory agency meetings and trainings.
    • Assist with program outreach efforts, including distributing posters, menus, and nutrition education to help increase community participation.
    • Conduct annual client satisfaction surveys.
    • Assist in recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers to ensure proper procedures are followed.
    • Assist the community dining supervisor with special events and ideas to help create a vibrant and inviting program.
    • At the discretion of the Nutrition Program Director, site managers may be required to transfer (either temporarily or permanently) to another meal site within the program.

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required.
    • Food Service or customer service experience preferred.
    • Experience with older adults or those living with disabilities preferred.
    • Must have reliable transportation daily to various sites across Hampden County

    Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
