    Identifies, troubleshoots and drives resolution of production quality deficiencies and problems.
    Works in conjunction with the Process Engineer to reduce variation and eliminate waste in all plant processes.
    Monitors quality impact of new production processes, methods or equipmentIdentifies relevant quality training needs and implements training.
    Implements ongoing quality improvement processes and procedures working with interdepartmental teams and with the involvement of the production employees.
    Manages and audits the planning and execution of daily lab quality assurance testing and production quality testing.
    Monitors vendor compliance to quality standards.

    Designs, manages and controls documentation and report procedures as well as the communication of progress results to plant Key Performance Indicators in the area of Quality.

    Reviews customer claims identifying root causes and leads the development and implementation of corrective action plans in conjunction with the process engineer and the Operations team.

    OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;Post-secondary education in a technical field with a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.

    Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial process manufacturing environment in a quality assurance role with hands-on experience with quality management systems.

    Experience in statistical process control, process optimization and continuous improvement including experience with Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing preferredDemonstrates values of integrity, respect for others accountability and a strong bias for actionAble to achieve results individually and as a member of a teamProven time management and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and data-drivenProficient with MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPointExcellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills#LI-BS1Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
