- Support manufacturing engineering and electro-mechanical engineering integration activities.
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design,
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements,
- Perform structural and integration engineering for entire lifecycle of the product including support of ConOps development and product design, development, and test
- Provide guidance and direction to develop, integrate and document structural and interior
- Support project management activities including schedule development, status reporting
- Interface with customers, internal/external suppliers and partners and executive management for the purpose of technical collaboration.
- Review and report of status
- Lead analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
- Lead and coordinate analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors
- Lead, develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, software configuration management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
- Plan and lead research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- Lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Assists with investigation of emerging technologies to develop concept for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
- 9+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- 9+ years of experience evaluating satellite system architectures and payload technologies
- 9+ years of experience in software system integration and test
- 9+ years of experience integrating designs from multi-skill teams (electrical, mechanical,
- Experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams of junior and peer engineers
- Experience with all phases of structural engineering including a broad knowledge of design, stress analysis, certification, and engineering principles.
- Experience collaborating with other Integrated Product Teams to execute strategy of growth, on-time delivery, and technical excellence as well as extensive experience in performing engineering work.
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and
