A dedicated caregiver who's all in when it comes to resident care and comfort.
Resident Care:
Provide direct care and assistance to residents based on their individualized care plans, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Medication Administration:
Administer medications to residents accurately and on schedule, following established protocols and maintaining proper documentation.
Vital Signs Monitoring:
Regularly assess and record residents' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels, promptly reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following facility policies and procedures, and providing immediate care and assistance to residents in distress.
Health Monitoring:
Monitor residents' overall health and well-being, observing for changes in physical or mental status and promptly reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents' medical records, care plans, medication administration, and any incidents or observations, ensuring compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Resident Support:
Offer emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment that promotes their independence and dignity.
Collaborative Approach:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for residents.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
Training and Education:
Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills, staying updated on best practices in geriatric care, medication management, and emergency response.
Completion of a state-approved Assisted Living Medical Technician training program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.Possession of a valid Medical Technician certification or licensure, if required by the state or facility.
Experience:
Previous experience working in an assisted living facility or a similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
Medical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of basic medical terminology, procedures, and practices relevant to geriatric care.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Demonstrated empathy and genuine concern for the well-being of elderly residents, with the ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration, documentation, and resident care.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks associated with resident care for extended periods.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the facility and residents.
