The City of O'Fallon is looking for an self-motivated, customer-service oriented team member for the position of Recreation Specialist -Cultural Arts.This position is responsible for creating, planning, and executing cultural arts programming for the City of O'Fallon.

Our Recreation Specialists earn competitive salaries from $46,654.40-$69, top out). As a Recreation Assistant -Cultural Arts some of your duties will include:

• Develops, organizes, manages and evaluates cultural arts programs for the citizens of the City of O'Fallon.
• Produces adult and youth theatrical performances.
• Oversees planning, soliciting and installation of art exhibits and the Shape of Community public art exhibits.
• Assists the Festivals & Tourism Division in the development of an annual arts festival.
• Markets all cultural arts activities.
• Writes grant applications and administers grant funding.
• Interviews, recommends hires, trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates and disciplines part time personnel.
• Creates, monitors, and assesses the budgets for assigned areas.
• Assists Budget and Procurement Coordinator in developing all formal bids for programs and projects within assigned area.

Applicants must have:

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/ internship or having had a similar position for one year with increasingly responsibility.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
