Job Title: Employee Development Specialist (Manufacturing Trainer)

Location: Renton, WA

Duration: 6 Months with possibility of extension

Client: Boeing Aerospace

Compensation: $46 per hour on W2 basis

Shifts: 2nd

Regular and consistent attendance is vital for this role.

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Production System Training (PST) Team is actively looking for an Experienced Employee Development Specialist to join them in Renton, WA.

One crucial aspect of our team is not just to train new hires in manufacturing, quality, and material management, but also to equip current employees transitioning between different skill sets with foundational skills. This team plays a significant role in the initiative to attract, develop, and retain talent within Commercial Airplanes.

Main Responsibilities:

Act as an instructor in specialized aerospace skills areas such as Seal, Structural, Electrical, Repair, Functional Test, Quality, Systems, etc.
Conduct varied learning events and facilitate knowledge transfer by teaching, coaching teams, observing student performance, providing valuable insights to improve delivery, preparing and delivering training sessions, and maintaining records to fulfill training requirements.
Utilize diverse delivery methods and customize learning programs, courses, presentations, and guides.
Emphasize safety protocols during all training sessions.
Create a positive and productive learning environment, promptly address any disruptive behavior in accordance with policies, and conduct individual and group assessments to suggest process and performance enhancements.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), offering training consultation services, technical assistance in both classroom and hands-on training on manufacturing processes, fabrication, assembly, and operations.
Conduct testing and evaluation following procedures, assess aerospace skills training needs, and make post-evaluation recommendations for relevant training content, objectives, and design.
Ensure compliance of courseware delivery with commercial, government, regulatory, and organizational standards and specifications by understanding regulations and standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders and service providers to develop creative training enhancements, guided skills practices, job aids, projects, and activities to support learners during and after training sessions.
Support educational deliverables projects, continuously monitor stakeholders' operating environment and key business metrics, identify performance-affecting issues, and suggest solutions.

Basic Requirements (Mandatory Skills/Experience):

Minimum 3 years of experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with detailed work instructions, blueprints, and drawings interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience in Structural, Quality, Systems, and other related skills.
Background in teaching, coaching, and developing others.
Professional certifications in aerospace manufacturing and lean practices.
Skills and experience in Wing/Spar Structure Assembly, Coaching, Instruction, Curriculum Design, Needs Assessment, and Job Analysis.
