Job DescriptionResponsibilities:

4+ years Working experience testing and implementing financial accounting systems – preferably Surepoint, Elite or Aderant
Work closely with the project manager, financial system vendor, and other stakeholders to understand the upgrade requirements and scope
Conduct cross-impact analysis via release notes and stakeholder meetings to evaluate the implications of proposed changes on system customizations, financial processes, reporting, and compliance
Coordinate and facilitate upgrade activities, such as the system configuration, data migration, testing, deployment, and post-release support
Identify, report, and track defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle and work with the vendor to resolve them
Assist with functional and integration testing for each version deployed in development environment
Work with PM and finance department to facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders, guiding them through testing processes and gathering feedback
Enhance existing regression test plans to include new functionality for comprehensive testing coverage
Provide support and best practices guidance to the team and the stakeholders during the upgrade process, and resolve any queries or problems that arise
Work with finance department to update standard operating procedure manuals and other documentation that may be impacted by upgrade changes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Proven experience as a business analyst, with a focus on financial systems upgrade or implementation projects
At least 3 years of proven experience as a release coordinator or in quality assurance capacity for financial system upgrade projects
Ability to evaluate release notes and identify business process changes and impacts as a result of feature release
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage and mitigate risks and issues
Expertise of financial system functionalities and processes, such as accounting, reporting, budgeting, etc.
Familiarity with IBM DB2 and SQL for back-end validation during testing cycles
