    SUMMARY:
    Establish marketing plan and budget for department. Generate revenue through mass media and direct mail. Develop promotions and special events to stimulate Casino revenues. Develop sources and vendors for advertising, promotions, materials, ad productions and special events. Negotiate media purchases as required. Reconcile invoices with media purchases to ensure appropriate payment. Represent Casino at meetings of advertising and marketing groups, tourist industry groups and related organizations. Oversee the marketing department, players' club, and gift shop.

    Work or delegate work with Human Resource Director to facilitate internal communications, newsletter, employee recognition and other employee relation's projects.


    ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Develop advertising plans, budgets, and proposals. Arrange for creative advertising materials to be produced within scope of approved budget. Write direct mail, develop promotions, billboards and analyze success of program. Organize and promote special events such as openings, anniversaries, and expansions. Develop sources and vendors for advertising, ad production and collateral suppliers. Facilitate internal communications, employee recognition and similar projects in conjunction with Human Resource department. Hire and train advertising/marketing support staff. Enforce policy as it relates to logo, copyrights, and trademarks. Perform other advertising/marketing related duties as required and directed. Perform other duties as directed.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Five years of Casino marketing and/or combination of Casino related experience (revenue analysis) of which at least three years is at the Casino Marketing Manager or higher level.

    Must have extensive database/direct mail computer skills and experience to perform market segmentation and profit analysis. Ability to work effectively with media representatives, vendors, and the public. Skill in public speaking or instructional platform presentations. Knowledge of effective Casino marketing techniques/analysis and media buys. Knowledge of marketing budget preparation. Skill in identifying innovative promotion opportunities. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively with all employees and departments.

    Skill in communicating information in a logical, concise, formatEDUCATION:
    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field. Related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.


    LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
    Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain a Pauma Gaming Commission License
