UAT Tester (User Acceptance Testing) - Banking

We seek a meticulous and detail-oriented UAT Tester to join our banking team. The ideal candidate is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of banking software systems through rigorous user acceptance testing. This role requires a strong understanding of banking processes, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

• Conduct user acceptance testing for banking software applications, including online banking platforms, mobile banking apps, and internal banking systems.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test the cases based on business requirements and user stories.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure testing aligns with business objectives.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform regression testing to ensure software changes and enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress, including test coverage, defect metrics, and overall quality assessment.
• Participate in project meetings, discussions, and reviews to provide input on testing strategies, requirements, and potential risks.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance testing activities' efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to banking software testing.

Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience - Proven experience in user acceptance testing within the banking industry, with a strong understanding of banking products, services, and processes.

Skills -

• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, techniques, and tools, with experience using test management and defect tracking systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems and identify potential issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in testing activities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach to achieving project goals.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
