    Default job background
    Description

    Title: Manager, Network Leadership

Reports to: Associate Director, Network Leadership

    About Growald Climate Fund

We are a high-impact venture global philanthropy fund catalyzing the rapid transition to a clean energy future. We believe that philanthropy plays a key role in nurturing new climate solutions, supporting a vibrant and growing civil society, and promoting objective research and analysis for use by governments and key partners.

    About the Network Leadership Pillar

We recognize that the scale and speed of change required for the energy transformation is such that no single actor can accomplish it alone. The field has learned that collective impact models, collaborative giving and network action are powerful keys to unlocking impact.

In addition to our network grantmaking, GCF dedicates time and resources to lead ALFIE, an informal community of funders aligned in their efforts to encourage clean electricity globally. Together, we galvanize and align resources and aggregate knowledge to bring our collective response to the climate emergency to the scale of the challenge. Each year, we host an international gathering to learn together with foundations and NGOs how to achieve a just power sector transition.

There is a unique opportunity to catalyze more impact with other philanthropists, foundations, and regrantors by pulling together collaborative funding opportunities. We aim to enable and catalyze collective impact approaches in climate philanthropy. Our resource mobilization work is highly collaborative, ecosystem-generous, and aims for ecosystem-wide knowledge sharing and funding.

    About the Role

This role joins a new internal function to drive creation of resource mobilization materials, convenings, and systems that help secure ambitious, multiyear funding targets from current and prospective energy transition funders.
