- Welcome patients warmly and escort them to treatment rooms promptly and courteously.
- Verify patient information by conducting interviews, recording medical histories, and confirming the purpose of each visit.
- Conduct vital sign assessments including blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulse, and accurately record findings in patient charts.
- Assists with special procedures and examinations including, but not limited to, lumbar punctures and pelvic exams while following appropriate protocols.
- Ensure the confidentiality of patient information through proper maintenance and safeguarding of medical records, including diagnostic and procedure coding.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and readily available for use.
- Previous experience as a medical assistant is required; specific experience in urology is a plus.
- Proficiency in EMR systems and strong computer skills.
- Possess a friendly demeanor with the ability to build rapport with both patients and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact sensitively with a diverse clientele at all stages of health and healing.
