    Description

    Medical Mutual is seeking an analytical, self-motivated, and confident individual looking for professional growth to join our nationally respected Claims Department. As a Claims Representative, you will help us fulfill our mission to deliver unrivaled claims defense to our insured physicians and dentists. We do not require applicants to have prior insurance experience and will provide on-the-job training.

    By collaborating with insureds, defense attorneys, and our management team, you will direct and resolve complex medical and dental malpractice claims. You will use critical thinking skills to develop and execute proactive defenses for your assigned claims. You will also provide outstanding service to our insureds and be an active member of the defense team by regularly meeting with insureds and attorneys. Ultimately, you will apply your understanding of medical and legal issues from a laypersons perspective to prepare your claims for trial and to negotiate settlements.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Four-year college degree
    • Two years of prior professional experience preferred, but will consider a recent college graduate
    • Desire to learn
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently

    Commitment: This is a full-time position in our Hunt Valley, Maryland office. We offer a hybrid remote/in-person work schedule. Upon successful completion of your training, you will receive a company car.
