    Atria Group specializes in Staffing, Consulting, Software Development, and Training along with IT services to small to medium size companies.

    We provide application analysis, design, development and programming, software engineering, systems development, testing, integration, implementation, and management consulting services to various clients throughout the United States and India.

    We work in multiple computing environments and use technologies such as client/server architecture, object-oriented programming languages and tools, distributed database management systems, state-of-the-art networking, and communications infrastructures.

    Job Description:

    Senior Architect for Product Development

    You will drive critical product design & architecture decisions, and components of our sequencing technology development. This role involves a wide variety of activities related to product development and base algorithm engineering.

    You will work with large experimental data sets generated by our Client's proprietary single molecule electronic DNA sequencing platform. You will collaborate directly with scientists from various fields, including physics, biochemistry, electrical engineering, and software engineering.

    The successful candidate must be excited to learn new concepts from these diverse areas and apply them to an ambitious, interdisciplinary project.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Design & architecting of software systems, using knowledge in pattern recognition, machine learning concepts & models.
    • Application of software development models to meet business requirements.
    • Collaborating with scientists from diverse fields to advance parameter estimation code.

    Skills Required:

    • Scientific programming experience in Python, and willingness to learn Python.
    • Basic understanding of pattern recognition and machine learning.
    • Excitement about expanding your current skill set.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Experience with distributed computing or cloud implementation.
    • Previous exposure to fields of bioinformatics, natural language processing, Chemistry, or biophysics background.

    Background:

    • 10+ years or equivalent experience in computer science, bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, etc.
    • Demonstrated potential to lead complex, long-term projects.
    • Desire to work as part of a team in a startup-like environment.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Good communication skills are a big priority.
    • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
