    Description

    Job Title: Technician II - Engine Assembly D Shift

    Compensation: $44.28 per hour

    Location: Huntsville, AL

    Schedule: D Shift, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Friday - Sunday.

    Technical Skills Needed:

    1. Strong mechanical background, especially in the assembly of mechanical or structural parts.
    2. Experience in a quality control environment, ensuring high accuracy with minimal errors.
    3. Proficiency in using a variety of assembly tools.
    4. Previous experience with engine assembly (any type) is highly advantageous; candidates with experience in automotive engine manufacturing may be particularly suitable.

    Responsibilities:

    • Precision assembly of engine components.
    • Perform diagnostic, disassembly, repair, and root cause analysis of components.
    • Conduct nitrogen and helium leak testing.
    • Prepare components for environmental and hydro proof structural testing.
    • Uphold strict cleanliness standards for compatibility with liquid/gaseous oxygen.
    • Support the design and integration of manufacturing and test equipment.
    • Maintain inventory of tooling and equipment.
    • Define procedures for preparing hardware for tests, qualification, and flight.
    • Develop and refine manufacturing methods to improve quality, reduce costs, and optimize build schedules.
    • Identify and rectify non-conformances and process deviations.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing or engine assembly.
    • Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly.
    • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow specifications.
    • Proven experience in developing new manufacturing processes.
    • Excellent communication skills and software proficiency (CAD, Microsoft Office, etc).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or automotive fields.

    Work Authorization Requirements:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
