    Contract attorney.

    Hourly basis to file a few commercial collections cases in Chicago, IL, direct assistance with companies, and in-house counsel in California.


    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Attorney to provide legal assistance to our in-house legal counsel. The primary responsibilities of this position will involve filing commercial collections cases in Chicago, IL. The Contract Attorney will also directly assist companies and in-house counsel in California. This is a contract position based on an hourly basis.


    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research and analysis to support commercial collections cases in Chicago, IL.
    • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
    • File necessary legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.
    • Represent the company in court proceedings and hearings related to commercial collections cases.
    • Collaborate with inhouse counsel to develop legal strategies and provide assistance with legal matters.
    • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure effective case management.
    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertaining to Illinois commercial collections.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance to inhouse counsel and company executives regarding contractrelated issues.

    Requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of contract law and civil litigation procedures.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage caseload.
    • Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Familiarity with California contract law is a plus.
    • Availability to work on a contract and handle flexible work hours as needed.
