- Conduct legal research and analysis to support commercial collections cases in Chicago, IL.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
- File necessary legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.
- Represent the company in court proceedings and hearings related to commercial collections cases.
- Collaborate with inhouse counsel to develop legal strategies and provide assistance with legal matters.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure effective case management.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertaining to Illinois commercial collections.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to inhouse counsel and company executives regarding contractrelated issues.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and civil litigation procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage caseload.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Familiarity with California contract law is a plus.
- Availability to work on a contract and handle flexible work hours as needed.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Attorney to provide legal assistance to our in-house legal counsel. The primary responsibilities of this position will involve filing commercial collections cases in Chicago, IL. The Contract Attorney will also directly assist companies and in-house counsel in California. This is a contract position based on an hourly basis.
