    Responsibilities

    This incumbent's responsibilities include accessioning and abstracting all required malignancies and non-malignancies into the merged NHC cancer data repository; assisting with life-time follow-up of all NHC cancer patients; assisting with data analysis requests and outcome studies; assisting managers with cancer committee development projects; helping with training and assisting new registry employees with department operations; provides coordination of tumor conferences as necessary; and assures operation and performance remain in accordance with the requirements of the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (ACoS, CoC), the Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR), and the mission of the Norton Cancer Institute.

    Qualifications

    Required:
    • Associate Degree
    • Certified Tumor Registrar - Must obtain Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential within three years of hire.
    Desired:
    • One year in the KY Cancer system
    • Registered Health Information Administrator OR Registered Health Information Technician
