    Job Summary

    The Human Resources Intern will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring employees, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Ideal candidate able to work 20 hours per week.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
    • Recruits, interviews, schedules candidate travel and hires qualified job applicants for open positions.
    • Conducts background screenings and employee eligibility verifications.
    • Participates in employee social committee; Plans and executes reward and recognition activities as needed.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to investigations, occupational health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, and leaves of absence.
    • Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.
    • Reviews policy and works with employees and leaders on policy interpretation and compliance.
    • Monitors time and attendance and serves as backup for payroll processing.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation and benefits practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Able to work onsite in Tulsa based office

    Education and Experience

    • Must be enrolled in at least Jr year or higher in HR related field of college study.
    • Work history in HR or related field.
    • General understanding of multiple human resource disciplines including HRIS, benefit practices, employee relations, performance management, and employment laws.
