    Description

    Responsible for operational aspects of theInfusion Centerwhich includes day-to-day supervision of personnel within the department as well as coordinate the care of the infusion patients. Responsible to provide input tothe development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards. Will also deliver direct nursing care to infusion patients when necessary.

    Requirements and Responsibilities:

    • Licensure and Certifications: Employee maintains current licensure and/or required certifications. (If No employee is put on leave without pay until in compliance)
    • Annual Mandatory Education: Employee completes annual Mandatory Education Module, Annual Health Assessment,Age Specific requirements, etc (If No employee is put on leave without pay until in compliance)
    • Time and Attendance: Employee complies with all HealthAlliance and departmental policies for time and attendance.
    • Professional Appearance: Employee complies with HealthAlliance policy for professional Appearance (Dress Code), including wearing ID Badge.
    • Safety maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians and employees.

    Education:

      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree recommended

    Experience:

      • 3-5 years clinical experience in oncology nursing

    Training/License:

      • Current NYS Nursing License

    Other:

      • BLS; ACLS required; associated department/hospital competencies
      • Biotherapy certification required
      • Oncology certification preferred
