    Description

    Work can be done by a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

    We are in search of an ideal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits evaluation process.

    When performing Disability Assessments, the task involves reviewing medical records online via a web portal and conducting a focused, in-person physical examination for each Veteran.

    The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant DOES NOT have the authority to make disability determinations; all determinations are made by the United States Veterans Administration.

    This role is solely dedicated to executing Disability Assessments for Veterans. There will be no provision of treatment or prescription of medication in this role.

    This position involves conducting Disability Assessments for 3-5 Veterans per day

    Schedule Full-time (8am-4pm)

    This is a position that requires physical presence.

    Key Attributes:

    • Interested in conducting Independent Medical Assessments
    • Able to analyze data from medical records and examination results to complete questionnaires and formulate medical opinions
    • Proficient in time management, capable of staying on track and meeting requirements
    • Must possess a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
    • Adept at using a computer

    Requirements

    • Must have a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
    • Meets the credentialing standards outlined by the VA
