**Must be local to NYC (on site 2 days a week in midtown) and MUST be coming from either the Consumer Goods Industry or the Food and Beverage industry**

My client is a major company in the consumer goods industry. They are growing and data is their future You will help shape the direction of the company.

You will spearhead the centralized data science team, setting the standard for data science practices across the organization. You will help find solutions to particular use cases in the commercial space- distribution data and sales data for improvement. There are a lot of descriptive use cases - moving into diagnostic and predictive analytics.

Role Responsibilities:

• You will be hiring 6-9 data scientists over the next year
• Advanced Analytics Solutions- You will drive the development and delivery of advanced analytics projects, applying machine learning, predictive modeling, and other data science methods to deliver actionable insights f
• Strategic Collaboration- You will work cross functionally with all different aspects of the organization
• Cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud Platform), big data technologies, and advanced analytics platforms.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of machine learning, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling techniques, with proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
• Experience in RGM (revenue growth management) and evaluating brand investment effectiveness for a CPG company
