POSITION: Hair Stylist

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Hair Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the art of hairstyling, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong sense of creativity in crafting unique and personalized looks for our clients. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing a range of hair care services while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.

• Consult with clients to understand their preferences, needs, and desired outcomes.

• Provide hair cutting, coloring, styling, and other hair treatments based on client requests and professional recommendations.

• Stay updated on current hairstyle trends and techniques to offer innovative and up-to-date services.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon work area and equipment.

• Advise clients on hair care practices, products, and maintenance between salon visits.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Must have strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to read and write.

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a portfolio of past work.

• Proficiency in a wide range of hair styling techniques, including cutting, coloring, and styling.

• Strong knowledge of hair care products and their applications.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• A valid cosmetology license.
