    Description

    Summary:

    Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and following hospital and department guidelines, this role involves assisting in the care of patients and their families throughout their stay.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to prioritize tasks
    • Provide personal care skills
    • Assist with basic nursing tasks as per state regulations
    • Help with rehabilitation activities and ensure a safe environment
    • Report any signs or symptoms to the Registered Nurse
    • Maintain quality assurance and infection control

    Requirements:

    • Current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Basic computer skills required
    • Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support

    Experience:

    Preference for one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant.

    Work Environment:

    Work in various healthcare settings, involving prolonged standing, walking, and patient care activities.

    Independent Action:

    Operates under supervision, following hospital policies and guidelines.
