    Special Education Teacher - Mustang, OK
    ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Mustang, OK. This is a contracted position offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to individualized education plans (IEPs) and a collaborative approach to working with students, parents, and staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
    • Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure students' needs are met.
    • Use a variety of teaching techniques and materials to assist students in developing social, academic, and life skills.
    • Monitor and document students progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
    • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching License.
    • Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
