    PACT Vocational Specialist - Full-Time

    Hiring Range: $ $30.55 Per Hour

    Additional $2.00/Hour PACT Differential

    Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS), we are seeking a dedicated Vocational Specialist Care Coordinator to join our PACT team. The PACT team at KMHS provides services to clients most impacted by the symptoms of their mental health disorders, such as schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders. The PACT team includes a case manager, a therapist, a peer specialist, a vocational specialist, and a nurse, as well as a clinical supervisor and a psychiatric provider for medication management. Clients typically remain in the program for two years or until their personal treatment goals are reached. The University of Washington provides monthly training and support to the PACT team. Most services are provided to clients in their homes or other community settings.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    • Plan and provide work-related supportive services such as symptom management, grooming assistance, securing appropriate clothing, wake-up calls, and transportation to community resources, interviews, and job sites.
    • Provide ongoing support for job retention/educational programs while assisting clients in managing symptoms.
    • Offer onsite job coaching or hands-on assistance to clients in navigating educational facilities and resources for long-term stability.
    • Engage and motivate clients without prior employment experience to explore their interests and aptitudes, utilizing interest inventories or assessment tools.
    • Participate in the PACT Comprehensive Assessment process for clients, assessing their status in education and employment.
    • Document client progress in a timely manner, ensuring relevance to treatment plan goals.
    • Participate in daily staff meetings and schedule treatment planning review meetings for assigned clients.
    • Support clients in reducing or abstaining from substance use, employing a harm reduction approach.
    • Use situational awareness to evaluate and reduce physical risk factors in potentially unsafe environments.
    • Coordinate with team members for crisis intervention, communicating with Mobile Crisis Outreach Team and law enforcement officials when necessary.
    • Assist clients in building skills for independent living, including shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, budgeting, socialization, and accessing transportation.
    Minimum Qualifications:

    EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

    EXPERIENCE: Entry level (no prior related work experience)

    This position requires transporting clients in a personal vehicle; therefore, qualifications include successfully completion a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, adequately insured transportation.

    LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum two years of job-related experience)

    Experience providing vocational rehabilitation-supported employment or workforce re-entry services to individuals experiencing mental health disorders.
