    Job Title: Information Technology Specialist

    Major Responsibilities/Activities

    1. Has a clear understanding of the concept and values of ALOHA and is able to uplift, uphold and exercise these values within the workplace, and communities we serve.
    2. Develops and inspires a culture of aloha, positivity, collaboration, inclusion, and accountability within the Organization.
    3. Visionary – In collaboration with the Executive Director, creates an innovative and inspiring vision and action plan for PONW's IT, communicates the vision to the staff and reinforces the vision goals in all conversations, communicates the vision (verbally and written) to important stakeholders and funders.
    4. Financial Management – Provides input into the development of the annual organization budget; aligns and monitors IT spending within budget expectations; provides all supportive documentation needed for accounting operations.
    5. Program Development - Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of services provided by IT in support of the organizational vision and mission; researches best practices within the field and innovative ideas in other industries to create new IT program ideas.
    6. Technical Expertise – Work in collaboration with all teams providing assistance where applicable with project implementation and execution.
    7. Analyzes the needs of each staff function and determines ways to meet the organization's objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
    8. Responsible for designing and implementing information systems, which will adequately support the organization.

    System Administration

    1. Conduct upgrades, patches, provides new applications and equipment.
    2. Provides consultation on projects needing technology support.
    3. Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current applications.
    4. Ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and offers support to end users regarding new technologies and system requirements.
    5. In collaboration with the Executive Director, develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
    6. In collaboration with the Executive Director, defines systems requirements based on needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms.
    7. Defines technical standards and functionality tests.
    8. May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides.
    9. Analyzes network and recommends upgrades/changes; assesses organization's current and future network needs.
    10. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
    11. Monitors the performance of systems.
    12. Monitor, manage, maintain and administer the server environment including: user authentication and security management, mail, database, and contact relationship management systems.
    13. Secure all servers.
    14. Prepare and monitor a disaster recovery, including backups of servers.
    15. Provide repair and upgrades for hardware, networks and software.
    16. Install, setup, and maintain appropriate software on servers.
    17. Develop bid specifications as required by policy for new and replacement hardware and software.
    18. In collaboration with the Executive Director, responsible for coordinating the selection and purchase of equipment and support materials needed to reach organization goals.
    19. Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all technology equipment.
    20. Coordinate and provide in-service and hands-on training for staff for hardware and software applications as needed.
    21. Maintain a limited inventory of parts and materials.
    22. Remain current in the utilization of technology in the field by attending training sessions, seminars and workshops.

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Education – A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in information technology or computer science.
    2. Experience – A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in the technology field.
    3. Thorough knowledge of infrastructure, application programming, and web & software applications. Certification is preferred in one or more IT areas: IT, Networking, Hardware, Cloud IT, Forensics, and Help Desk.
    4. Willingness to train with collaborating networking organizations
    5. Willingness and ability to travel locally, statewide and nationally as appropriate.
    6. Must be flexible and available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on project demands
    7. Must be able to work in office as needed
    8. Willingness to participate in random drug screening
