    Description

    High Point University Health is looking for an energetic and contagiously-positive Dental Hygienist who thrives on positive relationships with patients and other staff.

    This practice runs assisted hygiene and compensation for a well-qualified, skilled hygienist can be based on hygiene collections from two chairs that are currently booked through the end of May.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education


    • Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene
    • Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license (or immediate eligibility)
    • CPR certification required; BLS certification is a plus
    Experience and Training


    • Preferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental office, with preference given to experience operating in an assisted hygiene model
    • Training on an electronic medical record
    • EPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary
    • Local anesthesia training is a plus

    Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

    • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Flexibility to cover other offices under High Point University Health

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Be an elite HPU Health provider
    • Prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, patient education, and other clinical functions
    • Continuously assesses the hygiene schedule ensuring optimum patient flow
    • Responds to patient, clinical, and operational concerns timely and effectively.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations
    • Supports practice and organizational goals

    ACCOUNTABILITY:

    • Director of Clinical Operations
    • Evaluation: Ongoing performance reviews is conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
