    Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health services to diverse communities. We specialize in serving Latinos in Washington State and provide care without regard to race, ethnicity, immigration status, gender, or sexual orientation.

    We offer a wide range of services, including medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as nutritional, social, and educational services. Our network includes over 90 clinics across the state.

    Community Resource Navigator Job Summary

    This full-time position is available in our Managed Care Department in Bellingham, WA. The Community Resource Navigator will provide information and assistance to individuals seeking health coverage and local resources that aid them in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Aid in increasing public awareness regarding health coverage enrollment opportunities through outreach activities within the community and at events.
    • Assist in developing and distributing informational materials, establish and maintain referral relationships with local organizations, agencies, institutions, and businesses.
    • Routinely work uninsured lists from Sea Mar sites to advance enrollment of eligible individuals onto health coverage and inform non-eligible individuals about health care options.
    • Assist consumers with online public health coverage and program applications, provide necessary information for consumers to navigate health plan options and make informed decisions.
    • Serve as a service navigator for consumers wishing to establish Sea Mar as their medical home by providing information regarding services available, and consumer rights and responsibilities.

    • Good organizational and time-management skills
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Proficient at public speaking
    • Good spelling, grammar, and written communication
    • Ability to read and interpret complex documents, reports, and data
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
    • Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, and ability to work independently
    • Proficient in Microsoft programs (WORD and EXCEL)
