Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Safety Officer in the University Police department.
The candidate would be expected to: check student and visitor identifications and document non-residents to the building; maintain radio contact with headquarters/police personnel; notify dispatch and shift commander of any criminal activity.
Special Instructions to Applicants
Shift is Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30 pm to 5:30 am
Required Skills or Software Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately Required Years of Experience 1 Required Degree, Licenses or Certifications Valid Automobile Driver's License in your state of principal residence Other Requirements
Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Work overtime as needed. Respond to call-ins as needed. Ability to maintain data manually and generate neat and accurate reports. Must be able to maintain composure and appropriate decorum during difficult situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Class I, II, Park Ranger or Security Officer.
