    Manage and coordinate all activities related to the maintenance of plant infrastructure, building, support equipment, projects and environmental issues. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Assist plant controller with preparing capital projects (CEAV). Manage contractor program to ensure all Company policies and procedures are followed. Manage the MRO program through the purchasing department and ensure that the plant is following the Amcor purchasing policy.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Ensure that all maintenance personnel are properly trained and aware of potential safety and/or health risks, including compliance with OSHA requirements and GMP standards.

    Review production requirements with operations to establish an effective Preventive Maintenance schedule for support equipment and determine priorities for all other necessary repair/modification requirements to systems or infrastructure that require production interruptions.

    Supervise and assist with repairs, maintenance and modifications to infrastructure and support equipment (HVAC, Chillers, Compressors, Electrical systems, etc.)Seek bids for construction, alteration or installation of work as required.

    Recommends contractors based on cost, workmanship, and completion dates. Administers such contracts, and coordinates work performed to insure company expectations are met.
    Recommends and institutes programs that will improve efficiencies and reduce costs while improving quality and customer service.
    Manage contractor activities within the plant environment to ensure that all safety procedures are being followed. Coordinate contractor orientation, documentation (proof of insurance), training, confidentiality agreements, etc.
    Responsible for the overall direction and coordination of general maintenance personnel on a daily basis in a 24/7 environment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Prepare and oversee the annual maintenance budget and ensure compliance with budgeted figures.
    Champion an Energy efficiency committee at the plant and be the plant liaison to the corporate Energy Point Team.
    Champion automation initiatives for the plant as part of its strategic alignment with product competitiveness.

    Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and local safety and health, environmental, building and fire ordinances and standards including but not limited to lockout / tagout, machine guarding and waste disposal.

    Follow and enforce product safety and packaging safety rules, procedures, and/or guidelines. Ensure our products are safe for intermediate and end users.
    May be assigned other projects and tasks as necessary.


    Reporting Relationships:
    This position reports directly to the Plant Manager

    Education and

    Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline and seven to ten years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.

    Additional technical and/or leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Prior experience with plastic manufacturing technology is strongly preferred.


    Communication Skills:
    Strong written and oral communications skills required. Ability to write effective reports is required.

    Incumbent must possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills and be able to effectively communicate across various levels of the organization.


    Technical Skills:
    Strong knowledge in plastic equipment maintenance strongly preferred. Incumbent must have the ability to read, write and interpret technical diagrams and procedures. Strong mathematical skills required. High degree of organizational skills required.


    Reason:
    Strong troubleshooting skills required. Incumbent must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.


    Level of Authority:
    Right to hold for inspection, any product which the individual feels does not meet customer/company specifications.
