    Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required.

    Lake Forest, IL


    Dates:
    ASAP - 06/12/2024


    Pay Range:
    $25/hr to $29/hr


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide oneonone support to students with special needs, targeting the reduction of challenging behaviors and the development of appropriate social and munication skills.
    • Collect and record data on student behavior, progress, and responses to interventions, ensuring accurate and consistent documentation.
    • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of student behavior to contribute to the development and modification of behavior intervention plans.
    • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other team members to implement strategies and supports to promote positive behavior in various educational settings.
    • Follow established protocols and behavior management techniques to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.
    • Provide support and training to teachers and other staff members regarding behavior management strategies and techniques.
    • Maintain open and effective munication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on behavior support strategies.
    • Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and supervision sessions as required.

    Qualifications:

    • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
    • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
    • Prior experience working with individuals with special needs, preferably in an educational or clinical setting.
    • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
    • Familiarity with behavior intervention plans and data collection procedures.
    • Excellent interpersonal and munication skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Ability to follow directions, implement strategies consistently, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs.
