- Assessment and Documentation: Perform thorough assessments of patients' conditions, document observations, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education on cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal recovery and disease management.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and alert healthcare providers as necessary.
- Quality Care: Adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Technology Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in operating telemetry equipment and other medical devices used in cardiac monitoring.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
- Ethical Practice: Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in patient care and interactions with colleagues.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with a focus on telemetry or cardiac care.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Certification in Telemetry Nursing (CTN).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
