- Performing detailed quantity take offs and pricing for cost estimates for all stages of design
- Client facing with engineers, investors and other agencies involved in projects
- Obtain, update and manage accurate pricing information from data base, contractors and suppliers to utilize cost estimates
- Work with architects/engineers to develop clear project scope during preparation of estimates and develop relationships
- Prepare cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and be able to explain
- 5 years minimum of estimating
- Excel (Microsoft) for cost accounting, reporting, methods and programs
- Budgets range from minimum $1 million to $200 million
- Must be able to use takeoffs as a reference, no drawings typically done
- Civil & Structural experience (Architectural is a plus)
- Government agency experience is a must have
- Must know stages of design including feasibility studies, master plan estimates, value engineering, cost and bid analysis, change orders and attend project meetings
