    This position is responsible for providing technology management, planning, and support for warehouse operations across the Johnson Brothers businesses.

    Warehouse operations includes technologies covering warehouse management systems, warehouse controls systems, voice solutions, slot optimization software, label printing and other operations printing support, device management, mobile and general interface development, and maintenance management software.

    This individual will be responsible for assessing the current technical environment and implementing required improvements to ensure that all systems are working effectively.

    This individual will report directly to the Vice President of Application Service Delivery and help to spearhead technical solution strategies and create/drive the roadmaps to execute through the team.

    Job Description:

    • Direct the WMS/WCS program including managing our technical strategy, roadmaps, and implementations.
    • Provide project management plans including scope, resource, risk, schedule management, and status reporting for our WMS/WCS technology implementations by leveraging tools and methods that support tracking the work, delivery work, and evaluation of the performance of our delivery.
    • Facilitate collaboration and smooth transfer of essential information between all our stakeholders including our Warehouse Excellence team, our Operations staff, and other business partners.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regional operations business leaders, and their teams, including the Operations Executive Vice-President. Act as a trusted advisor to all stakeholders, providing guidance and expertise on leveraging technology to drive business value and achieve strategic objectives.
    • Manage WMS/WCS technologists, including people, budget, resources, and external vendors or partners, to optimize resource allocation and support business priorities.
    • Demonstrate financial acumen by creating sound capital and expense budgets and managing payment processes within terms.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the WMS team, Warehouse Excellence Team, Infrastructure Teams, Governance Team, Vendors, and stakeholders.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team, providing feedback and guidance. Support members of all teams as they develop skills through training, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving.
    • Facilitate the coordination/implementation of Corporate IT and security initiatives as it relates to warehouse operations technology.
    • Manage third-party vendors through healthy relationships, current contracts, and understanding vendor technical roadmaps translating them into plans to stay on supported and secure platforms.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an environment of rapid change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment.
    • Be disciplined and show high personal ethics and a strong customer service focus.
    • Demonstrate excellent project management and organizational skills, along with demonstrable experience of managing multiple priorities concurrently.

    SKILL AND ABILITIES:

    • Self-starter, results-oriented, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously
    • Must be able to work independently but collaboratively across the different IT and business functions
    • Must possess presentation skills to senior management
    • Leadership skills with the ability to exhibit self-confidence under pressure
    • Has a good understanding of warehouse and product line control systems/processes and can adapt to learn new business processes and functions
    • Excellent project management methodologies skills such as waterfall, agile, etc.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree or commensurate employment experience
    • 7+ years of experience in technology solutions roles or having experience planning and executing technology implementation projects and 3-5 years of experience leading technology teams.
    • 7+ years of experience with Warehouse Management and Warehouse Controls systems experience and Korber Highjump WMS experience preferred. Experience within the Wine & Spirts/Beverage industry or Food industry is a definite plus.
