- Embraces the philosophy of "Resident Centered Care" and respects the rights of the residents. Actively monitors the delivery of care ensuring all rights, policies and procedures and regulations are followed including random competency checks on all nursing staff as outlined/scheduled.
- Assure that the Nursing Department is operating within the expectations of all federal, state, and local regulations and completes and/or oversees the required reporting protocol and investigation for all incidents along with Executive Director.
- Actively monitors all nursing equipment and inventory to assure availability and working order equipment appropriate for population base. Utilizes facility resources appropriately, minimizing waste and performs duties with concern for the financial impact of the department and organization. Monitors monthly financial statements to ensure compliance to approved budget.
- At least five years clinical experience in Nursing Home Setting
- Possess knowledge of nursing process, assessment, theory, and practice, as well as familiarity with procedures and policies of the organization
- Previous nursing home management or leadership skills preferred.
