    Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - This is a travel/contract position
    Position Location: Pittsfield, MA - Traveler needs to reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
    Contract Time and Shift: 13 Weeks beginning 6/10/2024 - Days, 40-hour guarantee

    The Medical Assistant II is a part of the BFS Clinical team. He/she is responsible for assisting the practitioners in performing procedures and other patient care required by the clients. The Medical Assistant II functions clinically under the direction of the practitioners and will perform other duties as requested by the Practice Site Supervisor. The Medical Assistant II will work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure timely and smooth office flow, always keeping the needs of the patient first. This is a Medical Assistant II position that requires the ability to float to a variety of offices as needed to meet staffing needs.

    Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color

    Other Requirements:
    Experience in basic office skills is required, data entry skills preferred.
    Working knowledge of Windows-based PC applications is required.
    Experience in surgical scheduling, procedures, etc. is preferred.

    COVID-19 vaccination (dose date on or after 10/3/23) is NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM.
    Exemption forms are available in Trio/Downloadable Forms (Both forms REQUIRE Provider/Religious Leader Signatures), or please ask your delivery team for documents. IF APPROVED BY THE HEALTH SYSTEM TRAVELER WILL WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON SITE. To avoid delays in processing, please include the traveler's COVID vaccination card/or intent to fill out the exemption form with profile submission. Thank you

    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

    • 1+ years of current CMA experience
    • CMA or RMA certification required - Must be uploaded with Profile
    • Experience handling multiple phone lines and excellent clerical/organizational skills are required.
    • Experience in specimen testing preferred.
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
    • Medical terminology is required.
