    Job Description:
    Assists the surgeon during surgical procedures ensuring a safe, effective, and smooth process while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. Prepares surgical instruments and equipment according to the procedure's requirements.

    • Checks supplies and equipment needed for the procedure.
    • Prepares the sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
    • Performs appropriate counts with the circulator before the operation and after incision closure.
    • Assists in draping the sterile field and passing instruments to the surgeon.
    • Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during the procedure.

    Responsibilities Include:
    • Preparing sterile dressings and cleaning instruments for terminal sterilization.
    • Assisting other team members with terminal cleaning of the room.
    • Preparing the room for the next patient and transferring the patient to the operating table.
    • Securing dressings after incision closure and helping transport the patient to the recovery room.
    • Participating in Quality Assurance activities.

    Requirements:
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Scrub Technologist program.
    • Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.
    • Minimum 2 years of operating room experience preferred.

    Key Skills:
    • Critical thinking and decisive judgment.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Personal Qualifications:
    • Courteous communication skills and the ability to work with others.
    • Good judgment and the ability to present oneself in a positive manner.
